FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Cloe Xhauflaire is a Belgian-American actress, acting coach, author, and the founder of Act In Everywhere.
She was born and raised in Belgium, where she studied theatre at the Royal Drama Conservatory in Brussels. She later continued her artistic development in New York at the Susan Batson Studio, where she worked for seven years as one of the studio’s lead acting coaches.
Cloe has worked in film, television, commercials, and theatre across Belgium, France, and the United States. Her work includes screen credits with Amazon Studios, France Télévisions, and international independent film projects, as well as stage work in Brussels, Paris, and New York, including La MaMa Theatre NYC.
She created Act In Everywhere to help actors develop their craft, free their instrument, and build a stronger artistic identity. Her work brings together deep emotional work, discipline, authenticity, and personal freedom, so actors can stop hiding and become more truthful, present, and alive in their work.
Cloe created Act In Everywhere because she kept meeting the same kind of actor: trained, serious, talented, and still feeling stuck.
Not because they were missing something.
Because something was blocking what was already there.
She wanted to create a space where actors could name the block, face it, and work through it. A space that feels safe, but never soft. Honest, demanding, and human.
Act In Everywhere exists to help actors grow, not only in their craft, but in the way they show up, in the room, on set, on stage, and in their life.
To truly harness your potential, both as a human being and as an actor, it's essential to foster a strong, resilient mindset. Over her 14 years of coaching, Cloe has observed that while many actors possess the technical skills for their craft, they often struggle with the emotional and psychological challenges of the industry, such as rejection, fear of auditions, envy, and the disappointment of not being selected for roles. These experiences, parallel to life's own trials, can shape your reality through limiting beliefs that hinder progress or deter you from trying again after setbacks.
Champions, in any field, stand out not just because of their skill but also because of their mental strength. They train their minds to pursue excellence with as much dedication as they apply to their physical or technical training. The key to resilience, Cloe believes, is the ability to rise after falling, to continue moving forward against all odds.
Understanding your 'WHY', the underlying motivations and desires that drive your actions and empowers you to overcome any obstacle. This clarity of purpose ensures that, regardless of the challenges you face, you will find a way to succeed. What success looks like is personal; it could be mastering a role, overcoming personal limitations, or achieving a long-held dream. The crucial question is, what are you striving for?
The ACT IN Method is Cloe’s approach to acting coaching. It brings together two worlds: the structure, discipline, and text work of European training, and the emotional depth of the American method approach.
But the work is not only about technique.
It works on the full actor: body, emotions, mindset, imagination, presence, and truth. The goal is to help the actor see what is blocking the work, stop hiding behind old habits, and become more free, more alive, and more fully present in the room.
ACT IN is different because it does not separate the actor from the person.
Many acting classes focus only on technique, scene work, or performance. Cloe goes deeper. She works with the craft, but also with the fear, pressure, control, self-doubt, and old habits that stop an actor from being fully free.
The work brings together the structure of European training and the emotional truth of the American method approach. It is honest, demanding, and safe enough for actors to take real risks, fail, be messy, and grow.
The goal is not to look perfect. The goal is to become true.
This work is for actors who take the craft seriously and are ready to go deeper.
You do not need to be famous. You do not need to have everything figured out. But you do need to be willing to show up, do the work, and look honestly at what may be blocking you.
You may be newer to acting, already trained, or working professionally. What matters most is your commitment, your openness, and your desire to stop holding back.
Actors often leave the work with more freedom, more confidence, and more trust in themselves.
They begin to notice where they hold back, where they try to be perfect, and where fear takes over. Through the work, they learn to make stronger choices, connect more deeply to the character, and bring more truth to the scene.
Many actors also feel a shift in auditions. Instead of entering the room hoping to be chosen, they start showing up with more ownership, presence, and power.
A live Act In workshop is an intensive in-person experience where actors work directly with Cloe in the room.
The work can include acting exercises, emotional work, scene work, character work, audition preparation, script breakdown, and on-camera work, depending on the workshop. Actors work on the craft, but also on what is getting in the way of the craft.
The group is also a big part of the work. You learn from your own process, but also from watching other actors face their blocks, take risks, and grow in front of you.
Act In Everywhere offers in-person acting workshops in cities including Paris, Rome, Madrid, Milan, Brussels, Berlin, Lausanne, Barcelona, Mallorca, Namur, and New York.
Workshop cities and dates change depending on the season. Online coaching and online programs are also available for actors who cannot travel.
The best way to stay updated is to check the Act In Everywhere website or join the ACT IN Shortlist.
Act In workshops can include freedom of acting, emotional work, script breakdown, character work, audition technique, camera work, mindset work, and personal blocks.
The goal is not to give actors a list of tricks. The goal is to help actors understand themselves, understand the character, and bring more truth to the work.
Every workshop has a focus, so actors should read the page for that specific city or program before booking.
Yes. Audition work is a big part of Act In.
Cloe helps actors break down the script, understand the character’s need, make stronger choices, and bring more truth into the room or onto tape. The work is not about trying to impress. It is about becoming clear, alive, and specific.
Actors also work on the pressure that comes with auditions: fear, overthinking, control, self-doubt, and the feeling of waiting to be chosen.
Yes. Some Act In workshops include on-camera work, and private coaching can also support actors preparing for self-tapes, auditions, and screen work.

Private coaching is one-on-one. It is built around where you are right now: your current project, your audition, your self-tape, your career questions, or the personal blocks that keep showing up in your work.
Many actors work with Cloe in both ways at different stages. If you are not sure which one is right for you, book the free 15-minute call and we’ll help you choose the next step.
Private life coaching focuses on the person behind the actor.
This work looks at confidence, self-doubt, fear of judgment, consistency, rejection, discipline, and the patterns that affect both your life and your career. Cloe is a certified life coach, and she brings that training into the work alongside her acting background.
Acting coaching focuses more directly on the scene, the role, the audition, or the camera. Life coaching looks at how you think, how you respond under pressure, and what may be stopping you from moving forward.
For many actors, the block is not only in the scene. It is also in how they see themselves, how they handle rejection, and how they show up when it matters.
Yes, definitely. You can contact Cloe for 1:1 coaching for any audition needs, whether it's for stage, TV or film. While our workshops primarily concentrate on specific materials rather than individual audition pieces, Cloe always makes time to assist participants in crafting and preparing for their auditions outside of the workshop setting. This way, you get the personal support you need to shine at your auditions.
